Being the best version of yourself is largely mental. It's about starting on the path that is the opposite of the one you were on and NEVER looking back. When you spend enough time living your best life, striving for constant improvement, taking care of your body by eating well and exercising and being in control of yourself, you start to realize how much it sucks to live any other way. We, as women have been conditioned to take the best care of everyone else, so much so that we end up taking the worst care of ourselves. That is not OK! We should TAKE THE BEST CARE OF OURSELVES so that we can take better care of others. When you're burned out, maxed out, stressed out and wiped out you're not doing anything well, except probably being a miserable grouch that is no fun to be around.
Self care should NOT be optional. Self care is our responsibility. Self care is vital to a happy, healthy life.
Start to learn to put yourself at the top of your list. Decide what is vital to your self care. Do you have any idea? Exercise should be on that list. If you don't take care of your body, your body won't take care of you. Prioritize yourself. It's not selfish or self-centered. It's necessary!
